The WGG-60 (series) glossiness meter is a glossiness measuring instrument designed and manufactured according to the standard ISO-1813 and the national standard GB/T 9754. Its technical parameters comply with the provisions of ASTM D2457, ASTM D523, as well as GB/T13891, GB/T 7706, and GB/T 8807 standards. All technical indicators meet the requirements of the first and second measuring machines for the metrological verification of the national JJG 696-2002 "Mirror Gloss Meter and Gloss Board".

Basic operation introduction:

2.1 Measurement Process

When turned on, the interface displays "Press the measurement button to start working". Align the measuring surface of the glossiness meter with the object to be measured, press the MEASURE button, and after 2 seconds, the measurement value can be read.

2.2 Calibration Process

When turned on, the interface displays "Press the measurement button to start working". Press the SET button to select "backlight" and "calibration" options. Press the up and down keys to switch; Press the "Calibration" column, then press the "SET" button. The message "Calibration standard value, press the setting button to calibrate" will appear. Align the measuring port with the standard plate, place it steadily and flat, press the "SET" button, and the screen will display the calibration value. Adjust the up and down buttons to the actual calibration value, press the "SET" button, and confirm the calibration value.

2.3 Backlight Settings

Power on, press "SET", press the up and down keys to select "backlight", press the "SET" key, then press the up and down keys to reach the corresponding backlight state, and press "SET" to confirm.

Notes:

During the operation, the instrument measuring port, the surface of the work board, and the side of the object should be kept clean; Otherwise, it will cause measurement errors and inaccurate calibration. If there is dust or stains on the surface, please use a tissue or eyeglass cloth dipped in anhydrous ethanol to wipe it clean.

4.2 The instrument measuring port plane is the measurement reference and should not adhere any foreign objects, otherwise it will cause measurement accuracy.

4.3 Calibration and measurement should be carried out in the same environment, as a large temperature difference can cause measurement errors.

4.4 During use, external light should be avoided to prevent it from affecting measurement accuracy.

4.5 The battery is under charged and needs to be replaced before use, otherwise it will affect the measurement accuracy.

4.6 The instrument has an automatic shutdown function.

To make the measurement more accurate and eliminate moisture and dampness in the optical and electronic parts, it is recommended to preheat for 3-5 minutes before starting up for use.
