Product Introduction

1. Working principle: The X-ray tube emits radiation to irradiate the sample, causing electrons in the sample atoms to escape and emit characteristic X-rays. The X-ray detector in the instrument converts the characteristic X-rays into electron pulses. The signal generated by the detector is amplified and transmitted to the microprocessor for counting and calculation. The intensity data of the elements is converted into content values, and the results are stored and displayed on the operation screen.

2 Core components: Excitation source: The Niton handheld spectrometer adopts high-performance miniature X-ray tubes and high-performance SI PIN detectors customized by the United States, which can reduce radiation and ensure safe use. At the same time, it adopts Peltier semiconductor constant temperature cooling method to ensure the accuracy of detection data and the normal working state of the instrument; Niton has a handheld history of over 20 years and its product technology is becoming more mature.

3. Algorithm: There are generally two algorithms for Niton handheld spectrometers: one is the basic parameter method, and the other is the empirical coefficient method. The basic parameter method is calculated based on the difference in energy of each atom, and the test results for standard and non-standard samples are relatively good; Empirical coefficient method: It is obtained by comparing the light intensity values and element contents stored inside the instrument, and has a relatively large testing error for non-standard samples; In order to reduce errors, the algorithm of the Niton handheld spectrometer has been upgraded to the basic parameter method when using the empirical coefficient method in other products.

4. Failure rate: Due to the need to import test data into computer storage, the operating system of the software is particularly important. Commonly used software operating systems can cause computer crashes, virus infections, and loss of important data. To solve this problem, Niton has independently developed the NDT software operating system, which is easy to use and avoids the risk of computer virus infections caused by using Windows CE. Randomly configured NDT software that can upload or download data, edit and output PMI analysis reports, and enable remote control on a PC; Software upgrades can also be achieved through the Internet.

5. Operation mode: Considering the harsh working environment, the Niton device adopts a dual operation mode of physical keyboard and touch screen. In case of ultra-low temperature or damage to the touch screen, it can continue to operate and use without affecting the progress of detection work.

6. Calibration Plate: Equipped with built-in calibration plates, the machine can be tested immediately upon startup, without the need for repeated calibration after 8 hours or every startup. It can achieve machine self calibration anytime and anywhere without relying on external samples, ensuring safety during self calibration.
