Overview

The XA231R split right-handed phantom is a radiographic imaging quality control/training right-handed anatomical phantom produced by The Phantom Laboratory in the United States. R represents Right (right side), corresponding to the left hand model XA231P. It includes the lower third of the radius and ulna, as well as the wrist and finger bones. Both hands can be in a supine or relaxed state.

There are two segmented hand models to choose from: XA231P (pronation state) and XA231R (relaxed state).


For each segmented model, a set of natural human bones will be reconstructed into an average sized male mold, and then our RANDO will be used ® The material is cast. Opaque RANDO ® The material simulates the absorption rate of X-rays, atomic number, and specific gravity of soft tissue. Another advantage of this polyurethane material is its durability. This segmented model can withstand significant impact forces and continuous handling without damage. Many human bones are not the same size and shape as our molds, and they also reflect natural human characteristics such as asymmetry and joint deformation. During the process of rebuilding bones by our technicians, some minor adjustments may be made to the bones to facilitate their positioning in the mold.

1. High simulation of anatomical structures

  • Skeleton: Built in human bone molds (including distal radius and ulna, wrist bones, metacarpal bones, and phalanges), with technicians manually correcting natural asymmetry and fitting the molds.

  • Posture: Right hand naturally relaxed position (palm slightly inward, fingers slightly bent); The left hand XA231P is in the pronation position (palm down).

  • Size: Suitable for the average size of adult males (height 175cm/weight 74kg), with precise anatomical proportions.

2. Radioequivalence (core advantage)

  • Soft tissue material: using professional RANDO ® Polyurethane material has an effective atomic number that is identical to human soft tissue, and its attenuation characteristics under X-ray/DR/CT are equivalent to those of a real person.

  • Bone material: High density bone material, consistent with human bone X-ray contrast and density, clearly displaying cortical bone, trabecular bone, and trabecular bone structure.

  • No artifacts: The material is uniform, without bubbles or impurities, and the imaging has no excess artifacts, suitable for quality control and teaching.

3. Durability and stability

  • Anti damage material: Almost indestructible, resistant to impact, repeated operation and handling, and not easily cracked or deformed.

  • Fixed joint: The joint has a natural fixed degree of flexion, without looseness or dislocation, ensuring consistent imaging posture every time.
