FANUC system CNC milling machine is one of the CNC milling machine products of Shandong Zhenggong CNC Equipment Co., Ltd. The CNC milling machine equipped with FANUC system has advantages such as high performance, high precision, and high cost-effectiveness. As a professional CNC milling machine manufacturer, Shandong Zhenggong CNC Equipment Co., Ltd. is dedicated to creating high-quality CNC milling machine products, and also regards the popularization of CNC milling machine maintenance professional technology as the main content of after-sales service. Today, I will list the process of troubleshooting the 31st fault alarm when driving the Z-axis of the FANUC system CNC milling machine for your reference:

When a malfunction occurs during the use of a CNC milling machine, CNC milling machine maintenance personnel generally consult the CNC milling machine maintenance manual. From the CNC milling machine maintenance manual, it can be seen that the alarm phenomenon on the 31st is that the content of the error register is greater than the specified value. According to the alarm indication on the 31st, the parameters of the CNC milling machine on the 31st were changed from 2000 to 5000, with the same parameters as the CNC milling machine on the X and Y axes. Then, the Z-axis was manually driven, and it was found that the alarm phenomenon on the 31st had been eliminated. However, it was found that the CNC system had generated an alarm on the 32nd. According to the maintenance manual of the CNC milling machine, it can be found that the alarm phenomenon No. 32 is: the content of the Z-axis error register exceeds ± 32767 or the command value of the digital to analog converter exceeds the range of -8192 to+8191. After changing the parameter to 3333, the alarm phenomenon on the 32nd was eliminated, and the alarm on the 31st appeared again. The maintenance personnel of the CNC milling machine repeatedly modified the parameters of the CNC milling machine, but the fault could not be eliminated. Is there a malfunction in the Z-axis position control unit. Retrieve diagnostic numbers 800, 801, and 802, and find that 800 varies between 1 and -2, 801 varies between 1 and -1, while 802 remains at 0 without any change. At this point, it can be determined that the Z-axis position control unit of the CNC milling machine has malfunctioned. In order to accurately locate the control unit fault, the maintenance personnel of the CNC milling machine transform the position signals of the Z-axis and Y-axis of the CNC milling machine, that is, use the Y-axis control signal to control the Z-axis, and use the Z-axis control signal to control the Y-axis. The Y-axis will trigger the No. 31 alarm, which is actually the Z-axis alarm. At the same time, the diagnostic number 801 has changed to 0802. Through this form of transformation, it is sufficient to prove that there is a problem with the Z-axis control unit of the CNC milling machine.

Even when the CNC milling machine maintenance personnel exchange the Z-axis and Y-axis servo drive systems, the CNC milling machine malfunction cannot be ruled out. By exchanging the servo drive control signal and position control signal of the CNC milling machine, it will be found that the Z signal can drive the Y-axis, but the Y signal cannot drive the Z-axis. In this way, the CNC milling machine maintenance personnel can pinpoint the fault on the servo motor of the Z-axis. The CNC milling machine maintenance personnel opened the servo motor of the Z-axis and found that the cross connection block between the position encoder and the motor had fallen off. The reason for this situation was that the screw on the position encoder was broken. The alarm caused the above-mentioned fault phenomenon due to the lack of feedback signal from the motor during operation.

The maintenance personnel of the CNC milling machine reconnected the cross connecting block with the servo motor and position encoder, and the fault of the CNC milling machine was eliminated. I believe everyone has read itAfter troubleshooting the alarm fault of CNC milling machine 31 in FANUC system, there will be gains!
