The ZDL axis current monitoring device is an intelligent electrical monitoring device built with MCU as the core component. This monitoring device is used in conjunction with the shaft current transformer to achieve the function of monitoring the shaft current of the generator in the hydro generator set.
The magnetic field generated by the asymmetry of generator manufacturing will generate induced potential between the two shaft ends of the generator. When the insulation of the bearing is damaged, the induced potential will generate induced current in the closed circuit formed by the shaft, bearing, and frame, that is, the shaft current. The shaft current has a further destructive effect on the bearing, and the longer the duration and the greater the amplitude of the current, the greater the destructive effect. The shaft current monitoring device can monitor the shaft current. When the shaft current exceeds the warning value, an alarm signal is issued to prompt the user to maintain the bearing insulation.

The current in the working winding of the shaft current transformer is proportional to the induced current in the main shaft. Pass the current in the working winding throughAfter I/V conversion and anti-interference processing, the signals are filtered through three channels (full signal channel, fundamental channel, and third harmonic channel), and the filtered signals are then sent to three independent channels in the DAC for data acquisition.
instrumentIt includes a four digit digital display and six operation buttons. The digital display is used to display real-time measurement values and set parameter values, while the operation buttons are used to set parameters, switch display measurement values, and trigger test functions.

True effective value measurement
The measurement is the true effective value of the current(True RMS), Therefore, the measurement is more accurate.
When the component of the shaft current is not a single frequency sine wave, the peak coefficient varies due to different component ratios. At this point, non true effective value measurement methods will introduce measurement errors, and the larger the peak coefficient, the greater the error.
Group measurement
Simultaneously measure the values of three currents, namely the full signal current value, fundamental wave, and third harmonic current value.
When the shaft current transformer is placed in an environment with a large fundamental leakage flux from the generator, to avoid fundamental interference, the third harmonic current value can be selected as the participating comparison current for alarm.
