Working principle of blowing thermocouple

The structural principle of the blowing thermocouple is to form a certain gas path between the temperature sensing element of the armored thermocouple and the outer protective tube. In the gas path, a certain pressure of inert gas is introduced to eliminate or reduce the infiltration of trace tantalum elements into the thermocouple under high temperature and high pressure conditions, which increases the suction characteristics of the blowing thermocouple and extends the service life of the armored thermocouple. The key temperature sensor used for the complete set of ammonia synthesis equipment.

Classification of blowing thermocouples

There are three types of blowing thermocouples: blowing flow type, blowing positive pressure type, and no blowing type. Non blowing type is suitable for temperatures below 1200 ℃, and it is recommended to install vertically. By blowing in nitrogen or other gases, harmful gases are sent out of the protective tube, thereby increasing the lifespan of the thermocouple, which is about 12-24 months. It has been widely used in refining and chemical facilities such as Guangzhou Petrochemical, Shanghai Petrochemical, Datang Duolun Coal Chemical, Shanghai Gaoqiao Petrochemical, Zhanjiang Petrochemical, Jilin Refinery, etc.
