Using cold atomic fluorescence method, in compliance with official analytical requirements

The WA-5F detector uses atomic fluorescence spectroscopy (AFS) analysis to ensure higher measurement sensitivity (detection limit of 0.1p), which is superior to WA-5A. The instrument meets the official requirements for analytical methods.On the basis of the previous model's dual mercury amalgam, this model has undergone a relatively complete update in design. The WA-5F is not only equipped with high-performance options that can measure mercury in ambient air and various gases (LPG/LNG, flue gas, etc.), but also comes with a newly developed optical system as standard configuration to prevent mercury loss in samples. Therefore, the function of automatically setting the measurement range through the instrument can detect mercury content from low to high concentrations.

WA-5F

The sample gas is collected into a mercury collection tube, which is placed in the heating furnace of WA-5F for measurement. The mercury vapor generated by high-temperature heating is purified and dehumidified, and collected as a gold mercury alloy in a mercury collection tube for further purification. The mercury collection tube is reheated to generate atomic mercury, and the mercury concentration is measured by atomic fluorescence spectroscopy.

In addition, an airtight syringe can also be used to directly inject the sample.

New research and development technology

By adopting newly developed technology, the instrument has added many new functions

* The automatic sampler (30 bits) dedicated to mercury collectors ensures high analysis efficiency.

*By using a new optical system, this instrument with an automatically set measurement range can measure mercury from low to high concentrations (up to 1000ng).

*Realize ultra-high sensitivity measurement with a detection limit of 0.1pg.

*Samples can be directly measured from Tedlar sampling bags or high-pressure gas cylinders.

WA-5F can be used in conjunction with TC-WA30 automatic sampler. The sampling tube is placed on TC-WA for fully automated unmanned desorption, followed by secondary mercury homogenization and measurement on WA-5F. It can also be manually injected directly through an airtight syringe.

When used independently, WA-5F can be set to automatically sample gaseous hydrocarbon samples input into Tedlar bags, and the sampling amount can be measured through a dry gas meter. The sample was collected as a bimetallic amalgam before being measured on WA-5F. It can also be injected directly through an airtight syringe.

When used independently, WA-5F can be used in conjunction with LP-WA liquefied gas evaporator to directly collect compressed gaseous hydrocarbon samples from the gas cylinder into a mercury amalgam sampling tube, and the gas volume is measured by a gas meter. The collected samples are automatically desorbed and transferred to the second mercury amalgam sampling tube before WA-5 measurement. It can also be injected directly through an airtight syringe.
