Visibility SensorBased on the principle of forward scattering, atmospheric visibility can be accurately calculated by emitting light of a specific wavelength and measuring its scattering intensity in the air. The equipment adopts high-precision optical system and intelligent algorithm to effectively filter environmental interference and ensure data reliability. Its shell is sturdy and durable, with waterproof, dustproof, and lightning protection design, suitable for harsh outdoor environments. Sensors support real-time data transmission and can seamlessly integrate with monitoring platforms, providing critical data support for fields such as weather forecasting, traffic management, aviation and navigation, and helping to improve public safety and operational efficiency.

1、 Product Introduction
N50 typeVisibility SensorThe forward scattering method is used to measure the total extinction coefficient of air and calculate the current visibility, which is widely used in industries such as road traffic and meteorology.
2、 Technical features
1. The instrument casing is made of high-quality aluminum material, which is anodized and then painted. The whole machine has excellent waterproof, dustproof, and anti-collision performance;
2. The instrument's transmitting and receiving lenses are designed downwards, greatly reducing interference from stray light such as sunlight;
3. Weather phenomenon recognition, capable of identifying weather phenomena such as fog, rain, snow, mixed precipitation, and sunny weather with high recognition rate;
4. Built in watchdog circuit ensures reliable and stable outdoor operation for a long time;
5. The instrument communication and power interface both include lightning protection design, greatly reducing lightning strikes and static electricity damage;
6.12-24V wide voltage power supply, total power of about 1W, extremely low power consumption, can use solar panels, batteries and other long-term power supply;
7. The digital interface uses RS485 or RS232, standard MODBUS protocol, and does not require protocol adaptation;
8. The instrument can output visibility values for 15s, 1min, and 10min, which can be directly read without configuration, making it more flexible to use.

5、 Installation instructions
1. Installation location
The installation location of the visibility meter needs to be chosen on an open, flat, and unobstructed ground, away from buildings, trees, shrubs, peaks, and other objects. This can ensure that the observation range of the instrument is not obstructed and the data is more accurate.
Unnecessary optical interference should be avoided, and the receiver of the visibility meter should be installed facing away from a strong light source (such as sunlight). The transmitter and receiver should be located in a north-south direction.
2. Installation height
The installation height of the visibility meter should be greater than 1.5m and less than 3m. If the installation height exceeds 3m, corresponding height calibration should be carried out.
3. Installation steps
3.1 Before installation, the user should prepare a column and use the clamp provided with the instrument to install it onto the column.
3.2 Lift the instrument to the appropriate position and use the bolt after the clamp to install and fix the visibility meter. During installation, ensure that the receiver and transmitter openings are facing downwards, otherwise they should be reinstalled.
