The Valeport SWiFT SVP sound velocity profiler is a compact, robust, and portable integrated device that provides high-quality sound velocity profile data for nearshore, port, and inland hydrographic surveys. The battery can work for up to five days and can be charged through a quick USB connection. In addition to directly measuring sound velocity, temperature, and pressure, SWiFT also uses the Valeport algorithm developed from extensive experimentation and practical work experience to calculate salinity and density.

Valeport Swift SVP Sound Velocity ProfilerIt is a compact, robust, and portable integrated device that provides high-quality sound velocity profile data for nearshore, port, and inland hydrographic survey services. The battery can work for up to five days and can be charged through a quick USB connection. In addition to directly measuring sound velocity, temperature, and pressure, SWiFT also uses the Valeport algorithm developed from extensive experimentation and practical work experience to calculate salinity and density. The calculation accuracy of this algorithm is a salinity of 0.05 pSU and a density of 0.05 grams per cubic meter. The deployment weight provided can be used on the bolts on the protective cage, allowing SWiFT to achieve deeper depth when the water flow rate is fast.
