Vaisala MGP241 carbon dioxide multi gas probe
The Vaisala CARBOCAP MGP241 multi gas probe, designed for continuous measurement of carbon dioxide (CO2) and humidity (H2O vapor) in industrial processes, is particularly suitable for carbon capture, utilization, and storage (CCUS) applications. It is designed to be directly installed in the process gas pipeline, eliminating the need for sampling processing.
2-in-1 measuring probe
The MGP241 probe can measure carbon dioxide (CO2) and humidity (H2O vapor) under harsh conditions. MGP241 measures carbon dioxide and humidity in units of volume percentage or ppm (by volume), or measures dew point temperature (Td) and frost point temperature (Tf). Unlike traditional non diffuse infrared (NDIR) measurement techniques, CARBOCAP infrared technology supports simultaneous detection of multiple gases. This can compensate for sensor drift, sensor aging, and any cross interference effects between the measured gases. Routine operations do not require gas calibration; It is recommended to conduct functional and drift checks every 12 months.
Continuous process monitoring
MGP241 can directly measure gases during the process without the need for drying or other sampling treatments. Compared to traditional gas analyzers, this simplifies installation and reduces carbon emissions from measurement solutions. The measurement cycle is as short as a few seconds, allowing for real-time measurement for process control and monitoring. CO measurement values can be displayed as wet or dry basis values. With the help of built-in temperature and pressure compensation algorithms and CARBOCAP infrared technology, the measurement is stable and reliable under various process and environmental conditions.
Flexible connection methods
The MGP241 probe has three 4-20 mA analog channel outputs for measuring CO2 and H2O vapor concentrations and retransmitting analog inputs, as well as a 4-20 mA analog channel input for external pressure or temperature signal compensation. The probe also provides Modbus RTU protocol for digital connections. To use easy-to-use configuration, diagnostic, calibration, and adjustment functions, the MGP241 probe can be connected to the Vaisala Insight PC software using a USB cable accessory, or to the following Indigo devices: Indigo80, Indigo300, and Indigo520.
Plug and play+high connectivity
Its compact size and plug and play design make installation very simple.
It can be easily integrated into existing operating systems. Supports digital Modbus ® Communicate with simulated SCADA.
MGP241 is compatible with Indigo series transmitters and can achieve remote data connection and local graphic display.
