Overview

The VS-402 vibration temperature combination sensor is used in conjunction with the HY-V 402 vibration temperature monitoring and protection device. It can simultaneously measure the vertical, horizontal, and temperature signals of the bearing vibration at the same point. The measured vibration is relative to the free space vibration, and its output voltage is proportional to the vibration speed, so it is also known as a velocity based vibration sensor. The velocity can also be integrated and converted into displacement before further processing. This measurement can evaluate the comprehensive working conditions of rotating or reciprocating machinery, and it is directly installed outside the machine, making it extremely convenient to use and maintain.

VS-402 Vibration Temperature Combination SensorIt can measure the vibration of the casing or structure relative to free space, that is, vibration. It is particularly suitable for machines with ball bearings. In such machines, the vibration of the shaft can be transmitted more to the casing. Therefore, this monitoring instrument can be equipped with a magnetic electric speed sensor to continuously measure and protect rotating machinery. The installation of the sensor should be particularly careful not to reduce the amplitude of the sensor, nor to change the frequency effect or generate signals that cannot represent the true vibration of the machine. This monitoring instrument is particularly suitable for situations where a large number of vibration points need to be measured, such as motors, compressors, fans, etc.


When working, the sensor is installed on the machine. When the machine vibrates, the coil and magnet move relative to each other within the working frequency range of the sensor, cutting the magnetic field lines and generating induced voltage in the coil. The voltage value is proportional to the vibration speed value. Paired with secondary instruments, it can display the magnitude of vibration velocity or displacement. It can also be transmitted to other secondary instruments or AC voltmeters for measurement.
