At present, there are a large number of old network cards VF701 and VI701 in the CS1000 system. And this network card is no longer compatible with current industrial computer motherboards. Thus, VF702 and VI702 products emerged as substitutes!

The VI701 and VI702 network cards are coaxial cable connection network cards for the Yokogawa DCS system, used for connecting the Yokogawa DCS system operation station and controller. VI701 is a PCI interface, and VI702 is a PCI-E interface.

The sockets of VI701 and VF701 are PCI sockets, which were plugged into motherboards produced by Intel before 2001. After 2001, Intel introduced a new generation of bus interface PCI-E, with all VF702 and VI702 ports being PCI-E. The interface is shorter than the VF701 and VI701 interfaces.

The drivers for both VI702 cards are the same, and the connection method for network cards in the same series is the same. First, give an example of how to replace the VF701 V/NET network card.

1. Insert the problematic VF701 into the PCI port. Uninstall VF701 driver and restart the operation station.

2. Check if the driver has been completely uninstalled (there is no local connection for VF701 in the network neighbor). Then shut down and install VF702.

3. Install VF702 driver. Modify the IP address of VF702 local connection in the online neighbor. Just restart the computer.

The VF701VF702 drivers are the same, both are COMDRV in the CS3000 installation disk.
