A prototype of embedded IOC based on F3RP61, which communicates between PLC and EPICS, was built using FA-M3 PLC from Yokogawa Corporation of Japan and a new CPU module F3RP61.

Running the embedded EPICS IOC core on F3RP61 makes the FA-M3 PLC with F3RP61 module installed a new type of embedded IOC, thereby directly incorporating I/O data from the FA-M3 PLC into the EPICS system, simplifying the system structure and reducing development costs.

The human-machine interface of CENTUM VP is based on the new Windows OS operating system and existing PC hardware. The operation station is equipped with an optional operation console keyboard.
