Most grease flow meters are elliptical gear flow meters, consisting of two elliptical gears inside the flow meter chamber. Each time the two elliptical gears rotate, there is a sealed chamber in between. After oil enters, it enters the chamber and rotates with the two elliptical gears. Each rotation removes oil from one chamber. Since the volume of the chamber is fixed, the volume of oil discharged from each chamber is also fixed. Therefore, the volume of oil discharged per unit time can be calculated. This is the basic principle of grease flow meters.
