Instrument Introduction:
PerkinElmer's inductively coupled plasma optical emission spectrometer (ICP-OES) mainly consists of five parts: injection system, radio frequency (RF) generator, spectroscopic system, detector, and software.
The basic principle of PerkinElmer's ICP-OES is to use the high temperature generated by argon plasma to decompose the sample into excited atoms and ions. Due to the instability of excited atoms and ions, the outer electrons will transition from the excited state to lower energy levels, thus emitting characteristic spectral lines. After dividing the light into equal parts through a grating, the intensity of a specific wavelength is detected by a detector to determine the content of the element to be tested in the sample.
PerkinElmer's ICP-OES can analyze all metal elements in the periodic table with a detection limit below 1 ppb. At the same time, it can analyze the vast majority of non-metallic elements, such as As, Se, P, S, Si, Te, etc., with detection limits below 10 ppb. If used in conjunction with a hydride generator, the detection limits of these non-metallic elements can be improved by more than 10 times.
ICP-OES has become a widely used detection method for routine analysis of various materials due to its excellent analytical performance. For example, there have been many reports on the determination of constant and trace metal elements in materials such as plants, animal bodies, human hair, blood, water samples, beverages, soil, fertilizers, chemical reagents, metals and alloys, rocks and minerals.Used Platinum Elmer ICP OES Elemental Analyzer
Technical Specifications:
Adaptive high salt and acid alkali resistance
The atomization system of Optima 7300V standard configuration is a highly corrosion-resistant configuration.
The atomizer is a GemConeTM atomizer designed exclusively by PerkinElmer. Its feature is that it will not block during high salt injection and can directly inject saturated salt solution! In addition, the atomizer nozzle is equipped with a corrosion-resistant gemstone nozzle, which gives it excellent resistance to HF, alkali, aqua regia, and organic solvents!
The fog chamber is made of corrosion-resistant polymer materials, which are resistant to high concentrations of HF, alkali, aqua regia, and organic solvents. Moreover, this fog chamber has high physical strength, is not as fragile as glass fog chambers, has high sensitivity, good stability, and low memory effect.
In summary, the Optima 7300 injection system does not require the tedious operation of replacing the fog chamber and can perform analysis of 50% HCl, HNO3, H2SO4, 20% HF, and 30% NaOH. One injection system is equivalent to the standard configuration of other companies' injection systems+one organic injection system+one HF resistant injection system+one high salt resistant injection system.
Zuiyou's unique performance
The detection limits provided by PerkinElmer to users are based on data obtained from the standard HF acid resistant gemstone nozzle atomizer and HF acid resistant polymer material mist chamber of the instrument. If the user's sample does not contain HF acid or high salt content, they can also choose quartz concentric atomizer and cyclone mist chamber.
Key Features:
1. ICP and Injection System
1.1. RF generator
Perkin Elmer has adopted a new generation of solid-state circuit technology. The Optima 7300V generator only uses a 15 X 15 X 10 cm high concentration circuit board, which adopts new solid-state circuit technology. It has a small size, shorter thermal balance time, better stability, higher energy transfer efficiency, stronger reliability, and only requires 16A and 2800W power supplies. The weight of the entire instrument is reduced by almost half compared to using electronic tubes. PerkinElmer's 40.68MHz self-excited RF generator provides higher stability at the same power, ensuring plasma stability when directly analyzing complex matrix samples such as blood, soy sauce, gasoline, etc.
1.2. ICP matrix and injection system
The Optima 7300V uses the most accurate and precise mass flow meter in the plasma gas, auxiliary gas, and atomization gas pipelines. The precision of atomization gas flow rate is 0.01L/min, which greatly improves the stability of sample injection.
The dual door plasma chamber and combined design fog chamber and ICP moment are very convenient for selection, disassembly and cleaning. Two way observation was used to simultaneously determine the main content, and the conditions for trace elements were selected.
1.3. Dual observation structure of single TE
The Optima7300V adopts a dual observation structure with a single TE, which allows users to conveniently choose between radial and axial measurements according to their needs. Provided * * conditions for simultaneous analysis of major and trace elements.
2. Spectrometer and detector
Optima7300V is a dual path optical system that separates the ultraviolet and visible regions using * * optical design. Combined with the use of aberration correcting optical design, the resolution is particularly high. Due to the fact that the luminous flux of the spectrometer depends on the area of the main optical components, and the important spectral lines of ICP are concentrated in the ultraviolet region, the single TE ultraviolet dual grating cross dispersion and large aperture optical element (collimator lens D=75mm) and the intermediate step grating 80X160 improve the sensitivity and resolution in the ultraviolet band.
At the same time, an SCD solid-state detector designed for spectral analysis ZL is adopted, which has extremely high GAO quantization efficiency and minimal noise, while saving a lot of storage space and readout time.Used Platinum Elmer ICP OES Elemental Analyzer
