IIIDetection Principle
inUnder the condition of pH ≤ 2, extract oil substances from the sample with n-hexane, dehydrate them with anhydrous sulfur, and then use magnesium silicate to adsorb and remove polar substances such as animal and vegetable oils. Measure the absorbance at a wavelength of 225nm, and the content of petroleum is proportional to the absorbance value; Animal and plant oils are complex mixtures with no fixed absorption characteristics. To meet the needs of users, our company tests various oils (including polar substances with similar characteristics), analyzes and summarizes these substances, selects characteristics that can represent the content of most animal and plant oils, and makes their concentration proportional to absorbance.
