1、 Scope of application

The UV resistant aging chamber can simulate the hazards caused by sunlight and dew. Using ultraviolet lamps to simulate the effect of sunlight, and using condensed moisture to simulate rainwater and dew, the tested material is placed in an alternating cycle of light and moisture at a certain temperature for testing. The types of hazards include fading, discoloration, loss of light, powdering, cracking, foaming, brittleness, strength degradation, and oxidation.ZWH testing can help you select new materials, improve existing materials, and evaluate how changes in formulations affect product durability

2、 Technical indicators

3、 Lighting function

ZW-H uses ultraviolet light to simulate the harmful effects of sunlight: although only about 5% of ultraviolet light is present in sunlight. But it is the main cause of photochemical damage to durable materials exposed to the outdoors: this is because as the wavelength decreases, the photochemical effect of light increases. Therefore, when simulating the harm of sunlight to durable products, there is no need to reproduce full wavelength sunlight, only short wavelength ultraviolet light needs to be simulated. Due to the diffuse nature of ultraviolet light, ZG-P can uniformly irradiate the surface of the sample without the need for complex rotation of the sample.

4、 Condensation effect

ZW-H uses a unique condensation device to simulate the effects of rainwater and dew on the surface of the sample. During the condensation cycle, a water storage tank at the bottom of a test chamber is heated to generate steam. Hot steam maintains 100% relative humidity inside the cabin. And there is a certain temperature rise. The sample forms the side wall of the test chamber, and the cooling effect of the ambient air makes the temperature of the test surface lower than that of the steam. This temperature difference can continuously condense liquid water on the test surface throughout the condensation cycle.

The resulting condensed water is very stable and pure distilled water, which does not contain dissolved solids, which helps to reproduce the test results and eliminates the problem of water stains. Moreover, just like natural dew, newly condensed water is saturated with dissolved oxygen, so it must have strong erosive power.

Another advantage of this unique condensation system is that testing does not require the use of distilled water or ionized water,ZW-H can use ordinary tap water, which automatically distills and condenses onto the sample during the evaporation process.

Due to the prolonged exposure to moisture outdoors, the humidity persists for a long time every day12 hours, so the wetting cycle of ZG-P usually lasts for several hours. Please note that the UV exposure and condensation processes in ZG-P should be carried out separately, just like under natural climate conditions.

5、 Temperature control

UV cycle period. Photochemical reactions are usually not temperature sensitive. But the rate of any subsequent reaction depends on the temperature. The rate of these reactions accelerates with increasing temperature. Therefore, controlling the temperature during UV exposure is crucial. In addition, it is necessary to ensure that the temperature of the accelerated aging test is consistent with the highest temperature at which the material is directly exposed to sunlight.

The UV exposure temperature can be set according to the requirements of illumination and ambient temperatureAny temperature between 50 ℃ and 70 ℃. The UV exposure temperature is regulated by a sensitive temperature controller and blower system to ensure uniformity in the temperature of ZW-H.

6、 Wet cycle period

The severity of tidal erosion increases with the rise of temperature. Moreover, to accelerate the test, it is necessary to conduct a moisture exposure test at a higher temperature. inThe temperature during the condensation process in ZW-H can be controlled between 40 ℃ and 60 ℃; The temperature during the condensation process is independent of the UV exposure temperature.

7、 Operation method

Working Principle:

Lighting and condensation occur alternately. During lighting, the ammeter, lighting temperature meter, and lighting time regulator work. After the lighting ends, condensation begins to work, and the condensation temperature and condensation time regulator begin to display and operate.

Note: The light time regulator and condensation time regulator cannot be adjusted during operation, otherwise it may cause misoperation.
