Turbidity is caused by solid particles in the liquid, which scatter the light beam when it passes through the sample. Measure the intensity of scattered light to obtain the turbidity value, which reflects the concentration of solid particles in the liquid. The instrument uses the principle of photoelectric colorimetry for measurement. According to Lambert Beer's law, when a monochromatic parallel light passes through a colored solution, a portion of the light energy is absorbed by the solution. If the thickness of the liquid layer remains constant, the degree of light energy absorption (absorbance A) is proportional to the concentration of colored substances in the solution.
