The temperature at which the condensed synthetic gas formed by the petroleum vapor and the surrounding air ignites upon contact with the flame is taken as the flash point. The instrument controls the heater based on the collected temperature changes, causing the temperature of the test oil to rise at a certain rate. When the flash fire is measured, the instrument stops data collection, displays the flash fire temperature, prints the recorded results, stops heating, and the test arm automatically lifts, ending the experiment.
