Overview
Tinius Olsen recently released a new 20kN pneumatic fixture, which is operated by a built-in valve with higher force values. Even if the thickness of the specimen decreases during testing, it can maintain positive pressure. This new fixture is compatible with the Tinius Olsen dual arm ST series material testing machine. It is controlled by a foot pedal and has a maximum clamping force of 40kN at a pressure of 80psi/5.5bar. The fixture has multiple interchangeable clamping surface options to hold various materials and test standard clamps.
Product Details
The pneumatic fixture has a higher force value and is controlled by an integral valve with a clamping surface of 25x50mm. The dual pneumatic driven jaws clamp on the centerline of the specimen, maintaining positive pressure even if the thickness of the specimen decreases during testing. Optional clamping surface, capable of holding various materials and testing standards.
Foot valve control, the initial clamping force applied to the sample is spring pressure, which is safer. The full load clamping force and pressure need to be manually operated by the operator to ensure they are away from the clamp jaws.Support integration into automation systems.
