Test chart for measuring texture clarity of reflected color overflow coins (dead leaves)

The Color Spilled Coins test chart (a variant of the Dead Leaves test chart) used to measure texture clarity has several advantages compared to older Dead Leaves charts.

Main features:

• The scattered coin patterns in the central region are almost completely unaffected by scale (unlike traditional withered leaf tet charts), enhancing the accuracy and robustness of MTF measurements. Therefore, they do not have uneven or non-linear processing compared to other methods of RAW images, such as tilted edges.
• The maximum contrast range is 3:1, as required by the draft specification for texture blur measurement standards in the CPIQ Phase III draft.
• It is more unified, that is, it has more shift invariance than other dead leaf graphs.
• It features sloping edges (2:1 and 4:1 contrast) for easy comparison with withered leaf patterns.
• The gray areas on the left and right sides of the dead leaf pattern have the same average density as the dead leaf pattern, making it suitable for effective noise PSD removal using McElvain et al. People. Technology.
• Including registration marks and 16 grayscale color blocks. The linear level used to create grayscale color blocks ranges from 0 to 255, with a step size of 17 (the same as the Siemens star chart in the upcoming ISO 12233 standard draft).
