Dust detection: Dust on sandblasted surfaces can reduce coating adhesion, leading to premature abnormalities and non compliant coating layers. The HONJAHAUS dust test kit can be used according to the recommendations of BSENIO as a "pass/fail" test or dust test 8502-3 standard, with a permanent record of the test level.

Before starting the test, tear off the front section of the tape and discard it.

2. Take a tape approximately 200mm long and hold the end.

3. Stick the adhesive side onto the tested surface and press it with your fingers to make it stick.

4. Use constant pressure and uniform speed to repeatedly rub along the length of the tape for 3 times, each time for approximately 6 seconds. (At least 150mm length is required for testing)

5. Grab one end of the tape and peel it off from the testing surface.

6. Stick the adhesive side onto the black or white area of the attached dust comparison board, gently press to make it adhere, and excess tape can be folded or cut off on the back of the chart.

7. Evaluate the amount of dust on the tape: Check the amount of dust on the tape and compare it with the amount of dust at different levels on the comparison board, and record the level with the closest number of dust seats on the tape. For example, record the dust on a certain tape as "dust level 5, size level 1".

8. Evaluate the size of dust particles on the tape: Observe the dust with a magnifying glass and record the size level of the dust according to the table below.

9. Repeat the above test at least three times on the same test surface. If there is a significant difference in the results of the three tests, then conduct at least two additional tests and calculate the average result.

10. If you want to keep the test results permanently, remove the test tape and stick it on the dust recording paper.
