The Italian ATOS pressure relay is a hydraulic electrical conversion component that uses the pressure of liquid to open and close electrical contacts. When the system pressure reaches the set value of the pressure relay, an electrical signal is sent out to activate electrical components (such as electromagnets, motors, time relays, electromagnetic clutches, etc.), causing the oil circuit to release pressure, reverse direction, and execute sequential actions of the components, or turn off the motor to stop the system from working, providing safety protection, etc.

When the liquid pressure entering from the oil inlet 3 at the lower end of the relay reaches the set pressure value, push the plunger 2 upward, and this displacement is amplified by the lever to push the micro switch 4 to act. Changing the compression amount of spring 1 can adjust the operating pressure of the relay.
Application scenarios: Used for safety protection, controlling the sequential action of executing components, for opening and closing pumps, and for unloading pumps.
Attention: The pressure relay must be placed in a location where there is a significant change in pressure in order to output electrical signals. If the pressure relay is placed on the return oil line, since the return oil line is directly connected to the oil tank and the pressure does not change, the pressure relay will not work.
When used for safety protection, the Italian ATOS pressure relay is set at one end of the clamping hydraulic cylinder. After the hydraulic pump is started, the workpiece is first clamped. At this time, the pressure in the right chamber of the clamping hydraulic cylinder increases. When it reaches the set value of the pressure relay, the pressure relay acts and sends an electrical signal to energize 2YA, so that the cutting hydraulic cylinder enters the cutting process. During processing, the normally open contacts of the pressure relay microswitch are always closed. If the workpiece is not clamped, pressure relay 2 will disconnect, causing 2YA to lose power and the cutting hydraulic cylinder to immediately stop feeding, thus avoiding accidents caused by the workpiece being cut without clamping.
In fact, when used to control the sequential action of executing components, after the hydraulic pump is started, 2YA is first powered on, and oil enters the left chamber of the hydraulic cylinder, pushing the piston direction to move to the right. When the limit valve (or dead stop iron) is touched, the system pressure increases, and the Italian ATOS pressure relay sends an electrical signal to energize 1YA. High pressure oil enters the left chamber of the hydraulic cylinder, pushing the piston to move to the right. If 3YA is also powered on at this time, the piston of the hydraulic cylinder will quickly move to the right; If 3YA loses power, the piston of the hydraulic cylinder moves slowly to the right, and its slow movement speed is regulated by the throttle valve.
When used again for hydraulic pump unloading, the Italian ATOS pressure relay does not control the hydraulic pump to stop rotating, but controls the two position two-way solenoid valve to return the pressure oil output by hydraulic pump 5 to the oil tank for unloading.
When used for the opening and closing of hydraulic pumps, there are two hydraulic pumps: a high-pressure low flow pump and a low-pressure high flow pump. When the piston rapidly descends, both pumps simultaneously output pressure oil. When the piston rod of the hydraulic cylinder presses against the workpiece and begins to apply pressure, the Italian ATOS pressure relay activates under the action of pressure oil, triggering the micro switch to disconnect the normally closed contact and stop the hydraulic pump. Slow down the speed of the hydraulic cylinder during the processing while reducing power consumption.

(1) Voltage regulation range
The range of low working pressure and maximum working pressure within which a pressure relay can emit electrical signals is called the pressure regulating range.
(2) Sensitivity and on-off adjustment range
When the system pressure rises to the set value of the pressure relay, the pressure at which the pressure relay acts to connect the electrical signal is called the opening pressure; The pressure at which the system pressure decreases and the pressure relay resets to cut off the electrical signal is called the closing pressure. The difference between the opening pressure and the closing pressure is called the sensitivity of the pressure relay. If the difference is small, the sensitivity is high. To avoid the pressure relay switching on and off during system pressure fluctuations, it is required that there be a certain difference between the opening pressure and the closing pressure. If this difference is adjustable, it is called the on-off adjustment interval.
(3) Step up or step down action time
When the pressure on the inlet side of the pressure relay rises from the unloading pressure to the set pressure, the time when the microswitch contacts open and emit an electrical signal is called the boosting action time. Conversely, when the pressure drops and the contacts open and emit a power-off signal, the time is called the depressurization action time.
(4) Repetitive accuracy
Under a certain set pressure, the difference between the opening pressure or closing pressure during multiple pressure increases (or decreases) is called the repeatability accuracy. If the difference is small, the repeatability accuracy is high.
