Soil permeameter (South 55 upgraded version)
I. Overview
YUC.HTZXB4-1W (Data)wireless) Type Four way Variable Water HeadautomaticseeppressInstrument is an indoor geotechnical testing instrument used to determine the permeability coefficient of soil. Due to the small permeability coefficient of cohesive soil, it usually takes several hours or tens of hours to complete a test. Currently, the vast majority of domestic units use manual reading, manual recording, and manual calculation. This testing method is generally considered cumbersome, with many human factors and low work efficiency.
This instrument is designed with intelligence based on the principle of infiltration that satisfies Darcy's law, and the construction of the instrument has been improved and enhanced. It uses a computer to automatically collect and process data without the need for manual readings, reducing human errors, improving work efficiency and experimental accuracy, and liberating labor productivity.
2、 SoilPenetrometer (South 55 upgraded version)
1. The diameter of the soil sample is 61.8mm, which means the soil sample area is 30cm2
2. The height of the soil sample is 40mm, which is the seepage diameter distance
3. The cross-sectional area of the variable head organic glass tube is 0.785 cm2
4. Penetration height 0-1000mm, minimum resolution of 1mm, accuracy error of 0.3% of full scale
5. The applicable range of this instrument is loess, silty clay, clay, and environmental soil
3、 Components of a permeameter
1. Permeation container: including container, ring knife, sealing O-ring, sealing stop water pressure tightening ring, positioning bolt and pressure screw, upper and lower permeable stone, guide ring and pressure transmission piston.
2. The base of the permeameter has a three-way two position ball valve, a three-way quick twist joint and related pipelines, as well as a hand twist reaction device added above the permeameter container to prevent particle loss of the sample.
3. Water supply tank: The maximum capacity is about 6000cm3.
4. The water level measuring plate consists of four sets of organic glass water level tubes.
5. Penetration height 0-1000mm.
6. A set of collection and processing software.
4、 Test Method and Operating Instructions
1. Cut the undisturbed soil sample (or manually prepare disturbed soil sample) using a ring knife according to the standard method.
2. If the soil sample needs to be saturated, the methods of saturation include vacuum pumping, immersion saturation, and head saturation.
3. First, turn on the three-way switch to exhaust and saturate the air in the lower permeable stone and pipeline. The arrow pointing to the right indicates that the water in the water tank enters the organic glass tube, the arrow pointing upwards indicates closure, and the arrow pointing to the left indicates pipeline exhaust saturation.
4. Cover both ends of the saturated soil sample with moist filter paper, place it in the container base, and then sequentially place a sealing O-ring, a sealing water stop pressure tightening ring, and a rotating pressure screw (to avoid bottom leakage) on the outside of the ring cutter. Then place a permeable stone, a guide ring, and a pressure transmitting plug above the soil sample.
5. Turn on the three-way switch (switch arrow to the right) to allow water from the water tank to enter the organic glass tube, and determine the starting water head height (limit of 1000mm), which can be selected by the testing personnel at will.
6. Preheat the computer for 3-5 minutes, during which time set relevant content on the computer interface. Then turn on the three-way switch (arrow to the left) to start the experiment, collect data, and track the relationship curve between the collection time and the change in water head.
7According to the relationship curve between time and water head changes, select different time periods to calculate the corresponding permeability coefficient.
8. After the experiment is completed, take out the soil sample and clean the container.
