The HOBO soil moisture recorder S-SMC-M005 independently developed by Onset company uses Decagon EC5 soil moisture probe to calculate soil volumetric moisture by measuring soil dielectric constant. It is one of the sensors with relatively low sensitivity to soil salinity and temperature effects, and consumes fewer electrodes, making it easy to achieve long-term monitoring. It has the characteristics of suitable light source types for soil and high measurement accuracy. It adopts HOBO's standardized smart plug, which does not require complex wiring and settings, plug and play, and is very convenient to use.
