SIRIUS 3RW30 basic performance soft starter is suitable for soft starting of three-phase asynchronous motors.

Due to the implementation of two-phase control, not only can the currents of all three phases be maintained throughout the entire starting process, but also the interfering DC component is eliminated. This not only enables the two-phase starting of the motor to reach up to 55 kW (at 400 V), but also avoids the current and torque peaks generated by using wye delta starters.

3RW30 soft starter can be used for soft starting of three-phase asynchronous motors.

Due to two-phase control, the current remains constant in each phase throughout the entire start-up time. Due to the influence of continuous voltage, unavoidable phenomena such as peak current and torque under star delta starter conditions will not occur in this situation.

The 3RW solid-state motor controller is designed for easy starting conditions. In case of abnormal conditions or increased switching frequency, it may be necessary to choose a larger device.

If the starting time is long, it is necessary to use overload relays for heavier starting loads. Recommend using PTC sensors

It is not allowed to use capacitive components between SIRIUS 3RW soft starter and motor in the motor feeder line (e.g. reactive power compensation equipment cannot be used). In addition, both static systems used for reactive power compensation and dynamic PFC (power factor correction) cannot be operated in parallel during startup and soft starter ramp down. This is crucial for preventing compensation equipment and/or soft starters from malfunctioning.

All components of the main circuit, such as fuses, switchgear, and overload relays, should be selected according to the corresponding requirements for direct starting during short-circuit loading. Fuses, switchgear, and overload relays are ordered separately. Please follow the switching frequency specified in the technical data.

Siemens S120 power module, Siemens S120 agent, Siemens inverter agent, basic power module is suitable for applications without power feedback to the grid, or applications where the exchange between the motor shaft and the generator shaft is carried out in the DC bus. The basic power module can only feed electrical energy from the grid into the DC bus and cannot provide reverse feedback. The DC bus voltage is directly generated from the 3-phase incoming line voltage through a 6-pulse bridge circuit. The basic power module is suitable for grounded star TN/TT systems and ungrounded symmetrical IT systems. The connected motor modules are pre charged by integrated pre charging resistors (20 kW and 40 kW) or by thyristors (100 kW). The 20 kW and 40 kW basic power modules integrate a braking module. After adding an external braking resistor, the basic power module can be directly used for applications with intermittent braking mode, such as parking. In addition to the external braking resistor, the 100 kW basic power module also requires a braking module to brake.
