The design specifications of the new UV-1800 UV-VIS spectrophotometer meet the requirements of the Japanese and European Pharmacopoeias, with a resolution of up to 1 nm, high performance, compact design, and convenient use. At the same time, it can be used as a standalone instrument or as a computer-controlled instrument.


High resolution -1 nm

UV-1800 has high resolution and can easily meet the wavelength resolution standards required by the European Pharmacopoeia. In addition, it is also equipped with a Cheney Turner spectroscopic system, making the optical system more compact and bright. Scattered light, wavelength repetition rate, and baseline repeatability have been simultaneously enhanced, suitable for user needs.

Space saving design



Shimadzu UV spectrophotometerUV-1800With a width of only 450 mm, it is the smallest and most compact instrument in its class, allowing for configuration in small spaces. Compared with UV-1700, the configuration space has been reduced by 15% and the width has been reduced by about 20%.


User friendly

The USB interface can be directly connected to UV-1800. Users can use UVProbe software on their computer to analyze data. In addition, spectral data and time course curves can be displayed and saved in commercially available table processing software. Printers that can be controlled using PCL code, such as the HP 1200 inkjet printer and HP Photosmart D5160.

Equipped with UVProbe software as standard, UV-1800 can be controlled using a PC (USB cable is required to connect to the PC).
