Overview

The WAM-100 ultrasonic anemometer can obtain highly reliable data by digitally sampling and internally processing the ultrasonic waveform. Not limited to cleanrooms, it can also be used for high-precision airflow (breeze) monitoring in LCD panels, LED production lines, living environments with constantly changing temperatures, and internal airflow monitoring in refrigerators. $r $nSONIC Sonic Breeze Monitor WAM-100 is new

SONIC's Sonic Breeze Monitor WAM-100 is newly launched

The WAM-100 ultrasonic anemometer consists of the following parts.
attention
The anemometer host stores probe specific parameters, so the host and probe must be used in pairs (please confirm that the serial numbers on the nameplates of each device are consistent).

5.1 Overall Composition

(Omitted, corresponding to the position of the original schematic diagram)

5.2 Probe characteristics and combinations

The TR-93T probe is a three directional probe with a main wind direction limiting type, and the measurement spacing is miniaturized to 2 cm. It is mainly used for wind tunnel model experiments, indoor airflow observation such as air conditioning, etc.
The TR-93T measures wind direction within ± 20 ° of the main wind direction.
Maximum measured wind speed: 10 m/s
  • Measurement axis spacing: 2 cm

  • Measuring wind direction range: within ± 20 ° of the main wind direction

  • Measure wind speed components: A, B, C axes

  • Purpose: Indoor breeze observation, etc

  • Measurement accuracy: ± (10% of the measured value+0.05 m/s)

(Within the range of ± 20 ° of the main wind direction after zero point calibration)

6. Names and functions of each part

6.1 WAM-100 Host

  • Power switch: used for turning on/off the local power supply (I)/off (O)

  • Probe connector: used to connect TR-93T probes

  • POWER LED: displays the power on status of the device

    • Green constantly on: power on/normal power on

    • Red light on: Input voltage warning (power supply voltage drops by 10%)

    • Red light on: Abnormal input voltage (power supply voltage below rated value)

    • Extinguish: Power off/no power supply

  • Status LED: displays the measurement/communication status of the device

    • Green: Power on preheating

    • Green: Normal measurement

    • Green: Zero calibration (running during zero reset)

    • Extinguish: Measurement stopped

    • Red: Data missing

    • Red: Hardware error (cable not connected, device failure, etc.)

    • Red: Communication error

  • Zero reset switch: used for zero calibration after probe connection

After covering the probe with the zero calibration cover to form a windless state, press and hold the switch for more than 3 seconds, the STOP LED will flash green at high speed, and zero calibration will begin; After calibration is completed, the LED remains green and constantly on.

  • DC IN connector: used to connect AC adapter ACADP-12

  • Grounding terminal: used to connect the grounding wire (using screw: M2.6L4)

  • SYSTEM PORT-1 connector: used for connecting the host to the computer

Special connecting wire JSC-18 must be used, and the use of commercially available cables is strictly prohibited.

  • SYSTEM PORT-2 connector: used for connecting multiple WAM-100 hosts

(For multi machine connection matters, please consult our company)

attention
Special cables must be used to connect SYSTEM PORT-1/PORT-2, and the interface includes power pins. Using non specified cables may damage the machine or computer. Be sure to use JSC-18 dedicated cable when connecting to the computer.

6.2 Probe

  • Probe connector: Connect to WAM-100 host PROBE interface

  • Probe head: ultrasonic transmitter and receiver sensor area, strictly prohibited from touching

  • Probe cable

Probe characteristics
If the probe head support arm is in the windward direction, it will interfere with the ultrasonic propagation path, resulting in a slight decrease in wind speed measurement values. Therefore, a specific measurement wind direction range is set.
The disturbance frequency is usually higher than the natural wind disturbance frequency, and the phenomenon of wind speed decrease is only significant in stable airflow such as wind tunnels, and not significant in turbulent natural winds.

7. Measurement

7.1 Installation

  1. Be sure to turn off the power when installing the probe.

  2. During installation, be careful to avoid damaging the probe and applying force to the support arm that may cause deformation.

  3. Determine the installation direction of the probe; To improve measurement accuracy, it is recommended to align the probe's main wind direction with the measured wind direction.

  4. Avoid vibration when installing the probe. The ultrasonic anemometer detects the relative velocity between the probe sensors and the air, and the vibration period may introduce errors.

  5. Please do not bend, pull, or place heavy objects on the probe cable at sharp angles to avoid cable damage.

  6. Please do not place the probe cable near the local AC adapter, computer AC adapter, etc. to avoid measurement errors caused by noise interference.

  7. All connectors must be tightened, especially if the probe connectors are loose, which can introduce noise errors.

  8. When laying cables vertically, avoid the connector area bearing the weight of the cable; When fixing cables, be careful to avoid single point load-bearing.

  9. This machine does not have anti drip structure, please pay attention to the usage environment.

  10. Ultrasonic anemometer is a precision instrument, please do not use it in places with impact or vibration.

  11. Do not use in direct sunlight or near heating equipment.

7.2 Connection

  1. When connecting various cables, be sure to cut off the power supply and unplug the AC adapter from the socket.

  2. Do not pull or tug on the cable when plugging or unplugging the connector. Hold the connector area for operation.

  3. Connect according to the wiring method shown in the diagram; The shape of the connector is different. Please confirm the shape and insert it into the corresponding interface; The interface has directionality, please confirm the concave convex position before connecting.

7.3 Computer Preparation

Please refer to the separate paper "Installation Method for WASP-007F with WAM-100+TR-93T" to install the software on the computer.

7.4 Operation confirmation and setting

  1. Power the DC IN interface of WAM-100.

  2. Copy the 'SampleData' folder from the disc to the computer being used.

  3. Operate the computer to start the WASP-007F software and select 'Yes' on the display interface.

  4. Select 'Sample Data. wsp' from the copied 'SampleData' folder.

  5. Display the corresponding operation interface.

  6. Select probe: Left click in the probe selection area to open the probe selection interface, and select TR-93T from the probe type.

  7. Select the installation direction of the probe.

  8. After confirming the communication port, click on monitoring.

  9. Confirm the drawing area and the measurement data displayed by the 3D anemometer.

  10. If no data is displayed, please recheck whether the power supply, connection, and software communication port settings of the anemometer are correct.
