1. Overview
The WAM-100 ultrasonic anemometer can obtain highly reliable data by digitally sampling and internally processing the ultrasonic waveform. Not limited to cleanrooms, it can also be used for high-precision airflow (breeze) monitoring in LCD panels, LED production lines, living environments with constantly changing temperatures, and internal airflow monitoring in refrigerators.
2. Characteristics
(1) The ultrasonic anemometer can measure wind speed starting from 0 m/s without relying on wind energy, so there is no "starting wind speed" indicator and it can capture small fluctuations in the air.
(2) No moving parts, excellent environmental tolerance. No aging due to wear and tear, and can measure with high precision for a long time. Basically unaffected by dust, temperature, humidity changes, and other factors.
(3) There is no need for temperature compensation and regular calibration. The measurement method uses the reciprocal time difference of propagation time, and the wind speed calculation formula does not include a temperature term. In principle, there is no need for temperature compensation. At the same time, it has excellent repeatability and basically does not require calibration.
(4) The machine can quickly respond to changes in wind speed and measure and output wind speed every 0.1 seconds. There are no moving parts, and the measurement is not affected by inertia.
(5) High speed response measurement of temperature (acoustic virtual temperature) is achieved by reverse calculating the sound velocity through the propagation time of ultrasonic waves, and then calculating the temperature based on the sound velocity. This is commonly referred to as acoustic virtual temperature and is distinguished from absolute temperature. Acoustic virtual temperature can achieve temperature measurement with the same response speed as wind speed.
3. Specifications
Measurement method: Time division transmission and reception switching ultrasonic pulse mode
Calculation method: reciprocal difference calculation method of ultrasonic propagation time

Acoustic virtual temperature: ± 5 ℃ (when there is no wind)
Output resolution:
Calculation cycle: 10 times/second
Responsiveness: Less than 5 seconds
Digital output:
Output format: RS-422 (converted to USB through a matching cable)
通信速率: 9600 bps
Output rate: 10 times/second
Data format: ASCII 6 bytes/measured component
