Product Details

SA-YPSayforInstruction manual for electrostatic grounding alarm

1、 Product Introduction

Static grounding alarm is a static grounding protection and alarm device designed and manufactured specifically for loading and unloading flammable and explosive chemical materials in gas stations, refueling stations, and other places in the petroleum and chemical industries. It can guide the static electricity generated during the loading and unloading of flammable and explosive chemical materials into the ground, and provide sound and light alarms for poor static discharge, ensuring production safety.

2、 Technical parameters

  • Working voltage: DC3.6V

  • Working current:<1mA

  • Alarm output sound intensity:>70dB

  • Grounding monitoring circuit resistance: 30 Ω (sensitivity: 0.2 Ω, can be set arbitrarily within 5-50 Ω according to requirements)

  • Maximum output voltage of grounding monitoring circuit: DC3.6V

  • Alarm response time: ≤ 0.1S

  • Explosion proof grade: Exia IICT6

  • Weight: Approximately 3.5kg

  • Dimensions: 300*240*100(mm)

3、 Usage environment

  • Environmental temperature: -30~+50 ℃

  • Relative humidity: ≤ 95% RH (25 ℃)

  • Atmospheric pressure: 80~110Kpa

  • Suitable for hazardous areas with explosive gas mixtures: Zone 0, Zone 1, Zone 2

  • Explosive gas mixture: IIA, IIB, IIC

  • Temperature group: T1~T6

4SA-YP SA-YF electrostatic grounding alarmUsage

  1. Install battery: Open the alarm cover in a safe place and install one 3.6V battery.

  2. Check status: When the alarm is in standby mode, the alarm indicator light does not light up and the buzzer does not sound an alarm. Remove the grounding clamp from the box, press open the clamp to detect the alarm. If the alarm indicator light flashes and the buzzer sounds an alarm, it indicates that the alarm is working properly. If the undervoltage indicator light is on, it prompts to replace the battery.

  3. Clamp monitoring: Clamp the grounding clamp onto the monitored object. If the alarm indicator light flashes and the buzzer sounds an alarm, it indicates poor contact between the grounding clamp and the monitored object, and the clamp should be adjusted. If the alarm indicator light does not light up and the buzzer does not sound an alarm, it indicates that the alarm is in a normal monitoring state, and it is considered that the static grounding of the detected object is good, and the operation can be carried out.

  4. Homework completed: After completing the oil homework, remove the grounding clamp from the monitored object and place it back in the clamp box. The alarm is in standby mode, waiting for the next use.

5、 Precautions

  1. The alarm must select a grounding electrode with a grounding resistance less than 10 Ω.

  2. The installation of alarm devices must be carried out by professionally trained personnel in accordance with regulations.

  3. If the alarm may come into contact with harmful substances, the user is responsible for taking appropriate measures to prevent the alarm from being compromised and ensuring that this protective method is harmless.

  4. Regularly check the battery level and wire connections of the alarm to ensure proper operation of the equipment.

6、 Common faults and solutions

  1. False alarm: It may be caused by the static grounding alarm receiving electromagnetic interference signals from the outside, or by a malfunction of the equipment itself. Firstly, check if the alarm is correctly installed on the ground wire and adjust its sensitivity to adapt to different usage environments. Next, check the surrounding electromagnetic signals, which may be caused by signals emitted by electrical or other devices in the vicinity leading to false alarms.

  2. No alarm: It may be caused by poor grounding, short circuit of wires, or equipment malfunction. Firstly, check if the wires of the electrostatic grounding alarm are well connected and if the grounding is secure. If there are any issues, it is necessary to reconnect or replace the wires. If the wire connection is correct, it is necessary to check whether the equipment of the electrostatic grounding alarm has malfunctioned and may need to be replaced or repaired.
