In the process of refining rubber in a rubber factory, in order to control the diffusion of carbon black dust and other types of dust into the workshop and avoid dust pollution and harm to workers' health, local dust removal equipment should be installed on the equipment that generates dust. The dust should be filtered through the dust removal equipment and discharged into the atmosphere. Ventilation hoods should also be installed in places with smoke and hot air, and they should be discharged outdoors or through chimneys by fans to protect the physical and mental health of workers and prevent environmental pollution in the operating environment. Therefore, we have designed a comprehensive ventilation and dust removal system to address the aforementioned issues.

Dust refers to solid particles suspended in the air. The standardization organization defines solid suspended solids with a particle size less than 75 μ m as dust. The dust generated in the rubber mixing workshop is mainly carbon black dust, which is an amorphous carbon. Loose and extremely fine black powder, light and with a very large specific surface area ranging from 10-3000m2/g, is a product obtained by non combustion or thermal decomposition of substances (gas, heavy oil, fuel oil, etc.) under conditions of insufficient air. According to optical characteristics, the dust in the rubber mixing workshop is microscopic dust with a particle size of less than 10um. They comply with Stokes' law, fall at a constant speed, diffuse easily, and hardly fall.

The dust collector in rubber factories is mainly used in the rubber production and manufacturing industry. Because the closed rubber mixing machine used to produce tires requires the addition of carbon black and its components during the rubber mixing process, the carbon black and its components have fine particle size, low density, and strong adhesion. The process requires the dust removal equipment to operate stably and continuously for a long time, which puts high demands on the selected dust removal equipment. Therefore, the LPM type dust collector was applied to the closed rubber mixing machine system, and the application effect was good. Moreover, the dust removal installation in rubber factories is also very simple.

The characteristics of the bag filter in the rubber factory are that the dust cleaning device adopts a tubular center spraying method. The injection pressure includes low-pressure injection, with a pressure below 0.4MPA, and high-pressure injection, with a pressure above 0.4MPA. The high-pressure gas source has more kinetic energy and less gas consumption, while the low-pressure gas source has less kinetic energy and more gas consumption. The pressure of the pulse jet air source, regardless of its level, is aimed at achieving dust cleaning, and the required dust cleaning energy is the same. The spray cleaning mechanism is divided into combinations such as no drainage nozzle and no Venturi tube, with drainage nozzle and no Venturi tube, and with drainage nozzle and Venturi tube. Pulse jet cleaning can be divided into online cleaning and offline cleaning. By adjusting the parameters of the dust collector, online and offline dust cleaning can achieve basically the same cleaning effect.
