Rosemount HART Handheld OperatorIntroduction
The AMS Trex device communicator not only enriches the variety of Emerson handheld devices, but also adds new features to meet consumers' expectations for mobile device functionality. Technicians equipped with Trex communicators no longer need to waste time bringing the equipment back to the workshop for analysis or reconfiguration. Even if the equipment is installed on site, FF and HART devices can be diagnosed on site. Simple problems can be solved on-site, thereby avoiding unnecessary, potentially destructive, and invasive physical inspection issues. Technicians need portable diagnostic tools to identify and solve equipment problems, minimizing interference with production as much as possible. With the Trex communicator, you can accurately diagnose equipment issues on site. With the help of suitable handheld devices, maintenance teams will significantly save work time and feel relaxed, as they will quickly and accurately solve problems in the first place. After making modifications to the on-site equipment, AMS Trex can automatically synchronize the modified information with the AMS device management system database through WiFi or USB connection.
Durable and sturdy
The on-site communicator must have the characteristics of being sturdy and durable. The design of Trex communicator can withstand various harsh conditions inside and around production equipment. It is not only easy to hold, but also sturdy and durable, capable of handling collisions and falls during normal factory use; In addition, the Trex communicator also has moisture-proof and temperature protection functions, allowing you to use it in harsh environmental conditions. The sturdy external design of the Trex complies with intrinsic safety standards, preventing the accumulation of static energy. Unlike consumer grade mobile devices, the Trex communicator can withstand abuse in harsh on-site environments. A portable bag designed based on user requirements and on-site usage needs, with an access window for your communicator and several large pockets for carrying chargers, additional lead sets, or other tools you may need on site
Rosemount HART Handheld OperatorAdjustable brightness display screen
The Trex communicator is equipped with a 5.7 "resistive touch display screen, making it easy to use when wearing bulky work gloves. Adjustable backlit display screen can easily change brightness to save power or adapt to dark/bright lighting environments, ensuring clear display under any external conditions and easy readability
application
The Trex communicator includes a PC application Upgrade Studio to assist Trex in maintaining software and application updates. With Upgrade Studio, important diagnostic tools can be added to your toolkit and downloaded to multiple Trex communicators. As more and more applications become available, Upgrade Studio will make the Trex communicator a versatile device that can be used anywhere:
Field communicator - The field communicator application provides different configuration and troubleshooting options for HART and FF devices.
Circuit diagnosis - With the circuit diagnosis application, you can supply power to the field circuit and perform circuit troubleshooting and inspection. This application helps to verify the characteristics of the circuit to isolate and eliminate wiring issues.
Fieldbus Diagnosis - The fieldbus diagnostic application provides you with the necessary toolkit for troubleshooting and testing FF network segments
Valvelink Mobile - With Valvelink Mobile, the status and performance of valve components can be analyzed and checked without affecting production, and the configuration and troubleshooting efficiency of digital valve positioners have been improved to new heights.
Wireless HART provisioning - With the Wireless HART provisioning application, wireless networks can be accurately planned in a very secure manner in a very short amount of time. With a one click button, hundreds of devices can be configured, allowing you to accurately plan the entire network at 6 times the speed.
Radar Maste r - The Radar Master application integrates Radar Maste software into Trex for accurate on-site configuration of Rosemount radar level transmitters to ensure accurate measurement of liquid levels. The use of dynamic graphical displays can verify configurations while protecting personnel and property safety.
Trex Help - The Trex Help application provides searchable help guides that present key operational and troubleshooting information to you.
Practical design
The design of the Trex communicator enables comfortable one handed, all-weather on-site operation. Its appearance is uniform and flat, with a sturdy strap that can be easily held even when working in narrow spaces. The standard 32 GB memory of the Trex communicator provides ample space for application customization, and its built-in Bluetooth, USB, and WiFi connectivity allows you to easily import and export data to the communicator with convenient connection options. With these numerous communication options, the connectivity performance of the communicator has been greatly improved
The lithium power module of the communicator * can support Trex to operate continuously throughout the entire shift, even when supplying power to other devices on site.
intrinsically safe
The Trex communicator can be applied to any work site. Unlike consumer mobile devices that cannot enter hazardous areas without work stoppage or obtaining a hot work permit, Trex units meet global intrinsic safety requirements:
AT E X
CSA (USA/Canada)
IECEx FISCO
Flexible and free, available anytime, anywhere, without worrying about the risks posed by the device.
loop power supply
The Trex communicator has built-in device power supply function, and you only need to connect the communicator to the device that needs power supply to provide power to the device. Before testing, technicians no longer need to waste time connecting power or confirming circuit resistance, which speeds up the configuration process.
In the new project, the loop power supply function allows devices to be configured on-site without waiting for power or I/O to be in place, and transmitter configuration is no longer the last step in the new project. Configure the transmitter before the main control system, wiring, piping, and other project elements are in place to avoid it becoming a critical path item, thereby making the new project more flexible in the work plan and achieving faster start-up.
Using a communicator to power the device allows you to isolate it from the rest of the system, assisting you in identifying installation issues such as power supply, wiring, I/O cards, and configuration.
auto-sync
The automatic synchronization technology of Trex communicator ensures the integrity of AMS device management system database without the need for any technical personnel operation.
The Trex communicator automatically records device modification events with time stamps and sends accurate event records to the AMS device management system database: if there is a WiFi network on site and technicians are in hotspot areas, the database updates on-site modifications in real time, or modification events are cached in the Trex communicator. When there is a WiFi signal or a USB cable connection, they are automatically synchronized to the database.
*Diagnostic function
Identify valve issues
The diagnosis and maintenance of valve problems are particularly expensive, and on-site technicians usually need to remove the valve to investigate the fault. Removing the valve for inspection usually means production shutdown. For more complex fault repairs, technicians usually need to disassemble the valve to determine the root cause of the fault, which often leads to further damage to the valve, requiring more time and expensive repairs.
With the ValveLink Mobile application on the Trex unit, you can perform valve diagnostics on-site, such as valve characteristics, dynamic error bands, PD one click scanning, and step response, without the need to remove the valve or perform invasive troubleshooting steps. ValveLink Mobile supports HART and FF Fisher models ® The FILDVUETM digital valve positioner provides an intuitive user interface that is easy to understand and use. The large touch screen of the Trex communicator will make it easier for you to see the diagnostic details of all valves
