1、 The malfunction indicator shows a low value.

Reason 1: There may be combustible gases present in the sample gas. Zirconia solid electrolyte operates at high temperatures ranging from 600 to 850 degrees Celsius. If there are flammable components such as hydrocarbons in the sample gas, combustion reactions will occur and oxygen will be consumed, resulting in low instrument readings.

Processing method: Sampling inspection of the sample gas. If there is indeed combustible gas present in the sample gas, the operating conditions should be adjusted to remove the combustible gas, or a purifier should be installed in the sample gas to remove the combustible gas components.

Reason 2: The clogged probe filter and increased air resistance affect the diffusion rate of oxygen molecules in the measured gas.

Solution: Reverse blow and clean the filter. If it cannot be unblocked, replace the filter.

Reason 3: The furnace temperature is too high.

Solution: Check and calibrate the furnace temperature.

Reason 4: The range potential is too high.

Solution: Use the given potential difference to correct the range potential.

2、 The fault symptom meter indicates a high value

Reason 1: Zirconium tube ruptures and leaks air.

Solution: Check and replace the zirconium tube.

Reason 2: Small cracks appear in the zirconium tube, causing short circuit penetration in the electrode section.

Solution: Check and replace.

Reason 3: Zirconium tube aging.

Solution: Measure the internal resistance of the zirconium tube. The method is to use a digital multimeter to detect the resistance between the two electrode leads at the specified working temperature of the instrument. The internal resistance of a new zirconium tube should be less than 50 ohms. If the internal resistance of the zirconium tube is greater than 100 ohms, the furnace temperature can be appropriately increased to continue use. If the instrument error is too large and exceeds the allowable error range, the zirconium tube should be replaced.

Reason 4: The furnace temperature is too low, causing the internal resistance of the zirconium tube to be too high.

Solution: Check and calibrate the furnace temperature.
