Introduction to Malachite Green

Malachite green has been widely used for the prevention and treatment of water mold, gill mold, and small melon worm disease in aquatic animals due to its excellent antifungal efficacy. However, malachite green and its metabolite, recessive malachite green, are prone to high residues in animal bodies and have carcinogenic, teratogenic, and mutagenic side effects. Long term consumption of aquatic products with residual malachite green can easily cause subchronic or chronic poisoning. Many countries around the world have listed malachite green as a banned drug. In May 2002, China issued the "List of Veterinary Drugs and Their Compounds Prohibited for Food and Animals" (Ministry of Agriculture Announcement No. 193), which clearly stipulated that malachite green is a banned drug and cannot be detected in animal derived foods. Currently, the domestic standards include the Ministry of Agriculture's SCT30212004 "Determination of Malachite Green Residue in Pollution free Food and Aquatic Products by Liquid Chromatography" and the entry-exit inspection and quarantine standard SN/T14792004 "Determination of Malachite Green Residue in Aquatic Products".


Malachite green can be divided into two categories: industrial grade and reagent grade. Industrial grade Malachite green has low value but contains metal compounds; There are four types of malachite green reagents: oxalate, sulfate, hydrochloride, and zinc chloride double salt. Among them, zinc chloride double salt (3C23H25ClN2 · 2ZnCl2 · 2H2O) is a brass colored angular crystal that exists in the form of dye salt and methanol or pseudobase ions. It is easily soluble in water and has strong lipid solubility, which can enter cells and has strong toxicity.


[Scope of Application]

The Malachite Green Quantitative Detection Kit is suitable for detecting the content of Malachite Green in aquatic product samples such as fish and shrimp.


【 Detection Principle 】

Lanthanide based nano fluorescent microspheres were used to label malachite green antibodies, which were coated with BSA malachite green conjugates. The processed sample is added to the well, and the malachite green in the sample competes with the coated malachite green antigen for labeled antibodies. The higher the content of malachite green in the sample, the more neutralizing labeled antibodies compete, resulting in fewer labeled antibodies bound to the coated antigen. WellRay ® The WR-1608 fluorescence analyzer detects that the lower the signal, the stronger the signal, and the fluorescence intensity is inversely proportional to the concentration of malachite green in the sample. Through the dose-response curve, the fluorescence analyzer automatically provides information on the content of malachite green in the detected sample.


Storage conditions and expiration date

Transport at room temperature, store for a long time at 2-8 ℃, in a cool, dark and dry place, do not freeze, and the shelf life is 12 months (starting from the production date).
