RST2050 Insulation Rod Rope Quality Rapid Tester

Self check of the detector: Before each use, the instrument self check must be completed in different environments to ensure that the sound and light alarm functions of the detector and the device itself are in normal condition.

Handheld detector, keep away from the object being tested, long press the power button (POWER) until the battery level indicator light is on, then release it, and then press the self-test button (CHECK). The instrument will start self-test for about 5 seconds. Within 5 seconds, the insulation test light will be fully on and the buzzer will continue to beep. After 5 seconds, the insulation test light will turn off and the buzzer will stop beeping. The instrument will pass the self-test and exit the self-test state. If any of the following situations occur, the instrument self-test fails and needs to be returned to the factory for repair:

The insulation status indicator light is not fully on within 5 seconds;

The buzzer does not beep within 5 seconds;

After 5 seconds, if the insulation test light is still flashing, it indicates that there is an internal fault in the instrument, and the power button (POWER) needs to be long pressed to shut down.

If the self-test of the instrument fails, check whether there are foreign objects interfering around the V-shaped groove or housing. If the self-test still fails, it needs to be returned to the factory for repair.

According to the diameter of the tested object such as insulation rod, rod, rope, etc., turn the CALIBER knob to the corresponding diameter position. Note that for the tested object with a diameter exceeding 39mm, several repeated tests are required. Each time, the tested object is rotated 90 degrees to ensure that each surface is detected. The insulation rope includes two gears of Φ 8mm and Φ 13mm, the insulation rod includes two gears of Φ 10mm and Φ 15mm, and the insulation rod includes five gears of Φ 32mm, Φ 39mm, Φ 51mm, Φ 64mm, and Φ 77mm.

Press the TEST test button, the green running status indicator light will flash, and the two green lights at the bottom of the insulation status indicator light will light up. At this point, align the V-shaped electrode of the instrument with the surface of the object being tested, and slide the detector to pass all tests. Observing the LED status lights, only 2 green lights are on and in the OK zone, indicating that there is no problem with the tested object; Once 3 to 8 lights are on, it indicates a decrease in insulation performance. If 9 or 10 lights are all on and a buzzing sound is heard, it means that the insulation performance of the tested object is not qualified.

After the test is completed, press the TEST button to turn off the insulation test light, the green running status indicator light stops flashing and remains on. Press and hold the POWER button to shut down the detector (if there is no operation for 10 minutes, the detector can automatically shut down).

The detector is powered by a large capacity lithium battery and can work continuously for more than 24 hours under normal operating conditions when fully charged. When the battery level is below 1 grid, the battery level light will start flashing, reminding the user to charge. When the battery level is below the minimum working voltage, the detector will shut down directly. When charging, the randomly configured 100V~240V/50Hz/60Hz, 29.4V/1A charger should be used for charging. When the instrument is not in use for a long time, it is recommended to charge and maintain it every three months to avoid damaging the battery due to self discharge.

Precautions for daily maintenance: If dust or dirt adheres to the V-shaped electrode, it may affect the accuracy of detection. The V-shaped electrode (including the roller) should be wiped clean immediately with a soft cloth coated with isopropanol.

The detector comes with a one-year warranty under normal usage conditions. If there is a malfunction, please return the instrument to the local dealer. Damage caused by improper operation, unauthorized disassembly, or human modification is not covered by the warranty.
