Pre treatment of Yang resin
The pretreatment steps for cation resin are as follows:
Firstly, use saturated saline solution, which is approximately twice the volume of the treated resin. Soak the resin in the saline solution for 18-20 hours, then drain the saline solution and rinse with clean water to ensure that the discharged water does not turn yellow; Next, use a 2% -4% NaOH solution with the same amount as above, soak in it for 2-4 hours (or perform a low flow cleaning), drain the alkaline solution, and rinse the resin until the discharged water is close to neutral. Afterwards, use a 5% HCl solution with the same amount as above, soak for 4-8 hours, drain the acid solution, and use a clear solutionDrift the water to neutral for later use.

Acidic solution dissolves alum dental floss, turning it into Fe3, which may also form iron pollution. Sodium ion exchange cation exchange resin, which is generally used for softening water treatment, is more susceptible to iron pollution. Iron pollution to anion resin is mostly caused by Fe2O3 and sodium chloride contained in the regenerated caustic soda solution, which generate ferrates (such as Fe2O43). After entering the anion bed with alkaline solution, ferrates undergo decomposition reaction due to the decrease in acidity and alkalinity compared to the previous period, Fe3 further forms iron (hydroxyl) 3, and iron contamination is caused by the surface of anion resin particles. 3. Identification method: Take a certain amount of resin contaminated with iron, wash it with clean water, soak it in a saline solution, regenerate for about half an hour, pour it out for consumption, and then wash it with distilled water 2 to 3 times. Take out a small part of the resin and put it into a stoppered test tube, add 6mol/L solution, add twice the volume of resin, cover it tightly and shake for 15 minutes, and take out a small part of the acidic solution into another test tube.

Cationic resins are divided into strong acidic and weak acidic categories, while anionic resins are divided into strong alkaline and weak alkaline categories (or further divided into medium strong acid and medium strong alkaline categories).
