Qingliang Northwest Machinery Three Claw Inner Diameter MicrometerThe three jaw inside micrometer is a device that utilizes the principle of spiral pairs to rotate the tower shaped Archimedean spiral or move the cone to cause the three measuring jaws to undergo radial displacement, so that they come into contact with the measured inner hole and read the size of the inner hole. The measuring surface should be circular and embedded with hard alloy or other wear-resistant materials. There should be no defects such as rust, collision, scratches, cracks, etc. that affect the performance of use, and the edges should be blunt.
Using the principle of spiral pair, the inner diameter micrometer is used to read the size of the inner hole by rotating the tower shaped Archimedean spiral or moving the cone to make the three measuring claws undergo radial displacement and make contact with the measured inner hole.
1. There should be no rust, scratches, or cracks on the measuring surface of the three jaw internal micrometer and calibration ring gauge that affect the performance of use. There should be no defects such as rust, scratches, cracks, etc. on the measuring surface that affect its performance. 2. Material measuring claws, tower shaped Archimedean helices, or moving cones should be made of alloy tool steel or other materials with similar properties, and their measuring surfaces should be embedded with hard alloys or other wear-resistant materials. 3. The measuring surface of the measuring claw should be in the shape of a circular arc, and the curvature radius of the circular arc should be less than 1/2 of the lower limit of the measurement. The hardness of the measuring surface of alloy tool steel should not be less than 760HV1 (or 62HRC), and the hardness of the measuring surface of stainless steel should not be less than 575HV5 (or 53HRC). The edge of the measuring surface should be blunt, and its surface roughness Ra value should not exceed 0.20 μ m.

2. Zero adjustment:
Before use, clean the measuring surface and the inner hole of the calibration ring gauge with a soft cloth or paper, and calibrate the zero position with the calibration ring gauge. If the reading of the micrometer does not match the value marked on the calibration ring gauge, adjust the zero position using the following method
Loosen the adjustment screw, rotate the fixed sleeve until the reading of the micrometer matches the value marked on the calibration ring gauge, and tighten the adjustment screw.
When measuring deep holes, use a wrench to loosen the measuring head and shaft sleeve, screw on the extension rod between the measuring head and shaft sleeve, and readjust the zero position using the above method.
