CW-900The total organic carbon analyzer uses ultraviolet radiation and chemical oxidants (persulfates) to produce carbon dioxide (CO2) from organic compounds through oxidation. When measuring T0C using a sensitive and selective membrane based conductivity detection technology, the analyzer first measures the concentration of the total inorganic carbon substances (CO2, HC03, C03). After the oxidation of organic compounds, measure the total carbon (TC) content in the sample. The concentration of organic matter is equal to the TC concentration minus the total inorganic carbon (TIC) concentration, which is commonly referred to as inorganic carbon (IC). TOC = TC – IC
