There are four types of Proteomix ion exchange columns: Strong Cation Exchange (SCX), Weak Cation Exchange (WCX), Strong Anion Exchange (SAX), and Weak Anion Exchange (WAX). Proteomix SCX, WCX, SAX, and Wax phases are prepared by chemically bonding sulfonic acid groups, carboxyl groups, quaternary amine groups, and tertiary amine groups to the surface of porous or non porous PS/DVB resin hydrophilic coatings, respectively.
