PPS-HD protein purifierOverview
PPS-HD is a modular protein purification system that facilitates reliable and stable purification. The system consists of a PPS-HD host and PPSN software. The system adopts a modular design, with all valves, detectors, and chromatography columns installed on the front side of the system, making it easy for operators to operate the PPS-HD instrument (Figure 1). Additional components such as valves, detectors, and sensors from various optional modules can be easily added to available locations. There are multiple guide rails on the front and side of the instrument for connecting the chromatography column bracket and equipment. The buffer tray at the top of the instrument provides a convenient storage area for containers and bottles. The instrument control panel displays the system status in real-time.
The lighter weight of the system makes it easier to place on laboratory workbenches, and the smaller system size makes it easy to install in standard refrigerators for purifying unstable samples. PPS-HD comes standard with two high-performance system pumps, a system pressure detector for column protection, a mixer, an injection valve, a UV detector, and a conductivity detector. PPS-HD has multiple optional modules that offer multiple possibilities. The design of the system flow path aims to minimize bandwidth effects, and the wetting materials used in the flow path are biocompatible and can tolerate commonly used solvents. The front of the instrument is designed with reserved module positions for installing optional valves and detectors to achieve flexible flow path configuration. Examples of PPS-HD system configuration flow paths are shown in Figures 2 and 3.
PPSN software allows for quick and easy creation of methods, control of operations, and analysis of results. PPSN software does not require professional programming skills, and the creation of tomographic methods is very simple.
The PPS-HD standard components and optional components will be detailed in the following chapters.
