The water droplet angle tester, also known as the contact angle measuring instrument, works on the principle that the contact angle refers to the angle formed when a liquid droplet is dropped on a solid horizontal plane, and the gas-liquid interface and the two tangent lines of the solid-liquid interface sandwich the liquid phase at the junction of the solid liquid gas three-phase on the surface of the solid.
The water droplet angle tester is primarily used to measure the contact angle between liquids and solids, that is, the wettability or hydrophobicity of liquids and solids. This instrument can measure the contact angle between various liquids and various data. This instrument plays a very important role in scientific research and production in industries such as coating, waterproof and anti-corrosion materials, petroleum, printing and dyeing, pharmaceuticals, spraying, electronics, and mineral processing.
When a droplet is freely in a space unaffected by a force field, it takes on a spherical shape due to the presence of interfacial tension.
