The sample is first subjected to oxygen combustion in a high-temperature conversion furnace to convert all the sulfur contained in the sample into SO2, and then absorbed through a titration cell. The electrolyte in the titration cell is potassium iodide acetic acid solution. The instrument uses iodine produced by electrolysis to perform microcoulometric titration on SO2 entering the titration cell. Use the potentiometric method to control the endpoint of titration, and calculate the amount of electricity consumed throughout the titration process to determine the sulfur content of this injection.
Implementing automatic titration can eliminate human errors caused by unskilled operators. As long as the 'Start' button is pressed, the microprocessor sends instructions to the sampler to gradually inject the sample into the conversion furnace. As SO2 in the sample enters the titration cell, the potential of the titration cell decreases. The single-chip microprocessor controls the titration current based on the amount of potential decrease. Until all SO2 entering is consumed and the potential of the titration cell returns to its initial value before titration, the titration will automatically stop and display the total sulfur content ng of the sample in this injection.
The temperature control system of the three-stage converter can easily set the temperature of each section of the conversion tube and view the actual temperature of each section. It also adds a thermocouple cold end compensation link to ensure temperature control accuracy. When there is an over temperature or thermocouple breakage, the instrument will automatically alarm.
After the improvement of the mixer and sampler, the structure is more reasonable, the use is more convenient, the overall appearance of the instrument is more compact and beautiful, and the overall integrity is stronger.
