1. Remove the protective cover from the electrode probe and connect the two electrodes and temperature probe to the instrument;

2. Press the on/off key ⑪ to turn on the instrument panel, and after 3 seconds, it will start up and display normally;

3. Short press the ⑭ key to switch and enter the illustrated interface (pH C.), which enters the calibration mode. Press ⑬ to confirm, and the interface will flash 4.01. Place the electrode and temperature probe in the first buffer solution (pH 4.01), gently stir to ensure that the electrode probe fully contacts the solution;

4. Ensure that there are no bubbles in the electrode probe, press ⑬ to confirm, and the ⑨ area will display "①" jumping, indicating that the first point pH=4.01 calibration has been entered. At this time, the ⑧ area will dynamically display the measured millivolt value, and the calibration of this point will be automatically completed after the reading stabilizes, usually taking about 3 minutes;

After completing the calibration of the first point, the display "②" in the ⑨ area flashes, indicating that it is ready to enter the calibration of the second point. At this time, select 6.86 by pressing the up and down keys. Follow the same steps to insert the three electrodes into the buffer solution with pH=6.86, observe that there are no bubbles on the electrode surface, and press ⑬ to confirm. After the reading stabilizes, the calibration of this point will be automatically completed, which usually takes about 3 minutes;

After the calibration operation is completed, the instrument automatically calculates and displays E0 and CT values, and determines them according to ⑬; If you are not satisfied with the calibration coefficient, you can press the ⑯ exit button to recalibrate.

7. If you are satisfied with the calibrated parameters, press the ⑭ key briefly to switch and enter the measurement mode shown in the diagram (pH Met.). Rinse the electrode and probe with deionized water and wipe them dry. Press ⑬ to confirm and start the measurement. The pH value is displayed in area ① of the instrument, and the measured millivolt value is dynamically displayed in area ⑧. The instrument automatically identifies the measurement endpoint, displays the final reading, and locks it.

How to abort calibration

Automatic temperature compensation

When measuring pH value, the temperature change of the pH electrode can cause deviation in the pH measurement value. In order to eliminate this deviation, this instrument uses automatic temperature compensation.

The principle of Automatic Temperature Compensation (ATC) is that the temperature sensor continuously measures the actual temperature of the solution, and then inputs the temperature signal into the instrument to automatically calculate the pH value and send it to the instrument display screen.

Automatic temperature compensation is of great significance for measuring pH values in media with significant temperature changes.

When connecting the NTC connector to a suitable temperature probe, the automatic temperature compensation (ATC) function is enabled. So after calibration, the pH value displayed by the instrument in pH mode has been temperature compensated. But if a temperature probe is not used, the automatic temperature compensation function is disabled, and the instrument temperature defaults to 25 ° C.
