The isobutanol detection tube is a sealed, slender glass tube that presents a specific color due to being filled with specific reagents and coloring agents. When a gas sample containing isobutanol enters the detection tube, a chemical change occurs, causing a change in color. The scale corresponding to the boundary of observing color changes is the concentration of isobutanol in the tested sample.
