Bipu Gas Endeavour; -The plastic soil degradation tester is used to determine the ultimate aerobic biodegradation ability of plastic materials in soil by measuring the oxygen demand in a closed respiration meter or measuring the released carbon dioxide. We can provide precise and continuous real-time data for easy analysis of the degradation kinetics of polymer materials. GB/T 22047-2008 (ISO 17556) is applicable to the determination of the final aerobic biodegradation ability of plastic materials in soil according to the plastic degradation standard. The method used is to measure the oxygen demand in a closed respiration meter or to measure the released carbon dioxide.

1、 Product features:
(1) The degradation of biodegradable polymers and biodegradable plastics in nature mainly depends on the environment they ultimately enter after being used by humans, such as various digestion treatment plants in anaerobic environments, soil, freshwater or seawater environments in aerobic environments, landfills or composting sites, and so on.
(2) Due to the significant differences in natural environmental conditions, it is necessary to simulate different degradation environmental conditions in a targeted manner to test the degradation characteristics of the tested material under different environmental conditions and evaluate its biodegradability in different environments.
（3）碧普 GasEndeavour®-Plastic Soil Degradation TesterIt can be used in conjunction with the in-situ carbon dioxide adsorption unit designed by Bipu Company to continuously measure the conversion of oxygen to carbon dioxide during aerobic biodegradation processes. Very suitable for determining the final aerobic biodegradation ability of materials under controlled composting conditions through real-time detection of carbon dioxide release, and for evaluating aerobic biodegradation of gases based on the same principle.

3、 The ultimate aerobic biodegradability of plastic materials in soil
According to ISO 17556 (GB/T 22047), the determination of final aerobic biodegradability in soil can be carried out by measuring the oxygen consumption or oxygen demand caused by aerobic respiration of microorganisms. This experiment uses Gas Endeavour as a fully automatic closed breathing apparatus to measure oxygen consumption.
For the cumulative oxygen consumption of blank and sample, low standard deviations can be observed (below ± 4% and ± 9%, respectively). The PHB test material meets the effectiveness standard of ISO 17556:2019 (i.e. the positive control achieves 60% biodegradation, and the BOD values of all blank groups are within+20%) and achieves 95% biodegradation within 90 days.
