Installation method
Use a dedicated bracket to securely tie or clip onto a prominent position on the chest of the life jacket.
Ensure that the water sensitive cable naturally droops and comes into contact with seawater first when it falls into the water.
After installation, it does not affect the normal wearing and movement of life jackets.
Core functions and working principles
1. Dual alarm mechanism
Optical positioning (traditional life jacket light function): Built in high brightness LED white light, flashing at a frequency of 50-70 times/minute, with a visible distance of over 1 nautical mile at night, for rescue personnel to visually search.
AIS electronic positioning (core function):
Built in GPS+Beidou dual-mode satellite positioning, with a positioning accuracy of less than 10 meters.
Automatically send AIS alarm messages (MOB-ACtive) to all AIS equipped ships and shore based base stations within a range of ≥ 2 nautical miles in the surrounding area.
The receiving electronic chart (ECDIS) will immediately pop up a MOB alarm and display the precise location of the target ID、 Navigation and other information.
2. Intelligent triggering method
Automatic triggering (main): equipped with water sensitive electrodes. After being submerged in water for about 10 seconds, the circuit automatically conducts and the equipment starts to function fully.
Manual forced start: There is a red manual switch on the front of the device. In case of emergency (such as not falling into the water but requiring an alarm), long press to force the machine to start.
Manual shutdown: When the device is turned on, press the green switch to shut it down.
3. Status indication
Blue indicator light: Constant light indicates that AIS positioning is working normally.
White LED light: Flashing indicates that the optical indicator is working properly.
Buzzer: When turned on, it sounds and self checks according to the battery level (10 times for 100% battery and 9 times for 90% battery).
