Install the packaging onto the packaging test stand of the instrument and seal the opening of the packaging. Inject nitrogen carrier gas into the packaging, and place the outer side of the packaging in a humidified environment. Due to the presence of humidity gradient, water vapor will permeate from the high humidity side to the low humidity side. The water vapor passing through the sample is carried by the flowing dry nitrogen gas to the infrared sensor, and the parameters such as the water vapor transmission rate of the sample are obtained by the electrical signal output from the sensor.
