The Pulse Discharge Helium Ionization Detector (GC PDHID) analyzer is equipped with a uniquely designed Pulse Discharge Detector for detecting trace amounts of persistent gases and inert gas impurities in helium (He), argon (Ar), oxygen (O ₂), hydrogen (H ₂), nitrogen (N ₂), and carbon dioxide (CO ₂). Its working principle is to ionize helium gas through high-energy photons to produce electrons, which are accelerated to the collection electrode. The number of these electrons is quantified as the detector output signal and generates a chromatogram. This process, combined with Peak's mature platform, can provide fast and accurate results while maintaining a wide linear range.
