Generally, pressure sensors have a signal conditioner that compensates for the sensor's errors at different temperatures. There are various models of signal conditioners available in the market, and the functions of signal conditioners are also diverse. They can accurately amplify pressure sensor signals, compensate for sensor temperature errors, and directly control the calibration process. Signal conditioners can also adjust different signals to meet the needs of different customers.

Pressure sensors require different outputs in different environments. For example, the automotive industry requires signal conditioners to provide 0.5V~4.5V output, industrial and process control applications typically require 4mA~20mA output, and testing equipment requires an output range of 0~5V. By using signal conditioners with multiple voltage ranges or current outputs, designers do not need to design a circuit board for each application. Some signal conditioners allow design engineers to calibrate sensor outputs at up to 100 temperature compensation points, enabling engineers to match the relationship between error and pressure sensor temperature curve, thereby reducing the impact of temperature on the sensor. The correctable errors include zero and full-scale gain errors across the entire temperature range. The temperature sensor is used to track the ambient temperature of the pressure sensor.
