Alternatively, SIMOTION D410-2 can be installed on a mounting board (to be ordered separately) and connected to the power module via DRIVE CLiQ. In this case, the CUA31/CUA32 control unit adapter must be connected to the power module. SIMOTION D410-2 can only connect to one control unit adapter.

The SIMOTION D410-2 control unit will store persistent process data in a maintenance free manner (see technical data for required memory size). The real-time clock will be backed up for several days through SuperCap.
The system software, user data, and user programs are all backed up on the SIMOTION CF card. The retention process data of the control unit can also be stored on this CF card through system commands, such as when spare parts are needed.

SIMOTION D410-2 is a variation of SIMOTION D, suitable for single axis applications in modular multi axis schemes. This type of control unit is part of the SIMOTION D4x5-2 controller series and is designed for book type multi axis applications. The SIMOTION D410-2 control unit is divided into PROFIBUS type (D410-2 DP) and PROFIBUS/PROFINET type (D410-2 DP/PN).
The SIMOTION D410-2 control unit is dedicated to the modular SINAMICS S120 PM240-2 and SINAMICS S120 PM340 power modules and can be directly connected to the power modules of this series. If necessary, SIMOTION D410-2 can also be installed on the mounting board (the mounting board needs to be ordered separately).
